After four previous nominations, Leonardo DiCaprio finally got an Oscar for best actor for his role in “The Revenant”.

Inspired by true events, The Revenant is an epic tale of survival and transformation that takes place in the old American West. During an expedition through the wilderness, the legendary explorer Hugh Glass (Leonardo DiCaprio) is attacked by a bear brutal way, later to be abandoned by members of his own hunting gear. Alone and dying, Glass refuses to succumb. Driven by sheer will and love for his wife and son, both Native Americans, it embarks on an odyssey of 320 km. through the vast and untamed west in search of the man who betrayed him: John Fitzgerald (Tom Hardy).
